Required Degree: Bachelors degree required; Masters degree preferred. Degree must be in elementary or early childhood education, or similar, from an accredited university. The required degree must be completed by the start date.

Experience:

  • Expertise in elementary and/or early childhood education literacy and writing methods (K-6).

  • Successful experience as a licensed K-6 elementary classroom teacher, minimum 4 years experience preferred.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills.

Duties/Expectations:

  • Teach elementary education writing methods course (El Ed 435).

  • Participate in university, college and department faculty meetings as requested.

  • Meet appropriate dress and conduct standards as required by the university.

  • Preference for candidate who has availability to teach daytime classes (8am

  • 4pm).

Must reside in the State of Utah to be eligible for employment consideration. Must be willing to teach the course in person, on the BYU-Provo campus.
