Position Title: Teacher-CTE Emergency Medical Services
Position Start Date: August 7, 2024
Position Type: Teachers-Licensed
FTE: 1.0 - 40 hours per week
Work Schedule: 186 Days

Summary:
A BVSD teacher demonstrates a strong knowledge of the curriculum and content area while positively impacting student achievement through innovative instructional strategies and effectively managing the learning environment.

Follows State legal requirements and District and building policies and procedures
Additional responsibilities include maintaining an active community advisory committee, serving on the building ERT team, and sponsoring a HOSA chapter.
Qualifications:
Required:
Currently hold a Colorado teaching license with appropriate Career and Technical Education (CTE) credential in Health Science (Health Science Foundational is not sufficient) or have the licensure application in process OR qualify for CTE Authorization in Health Science (Health Science Foundational is not sufficient) by meeting the content knowledge (Colorado Department of Education CTE Authorization Requirements) and occupational experience (CTE Verification of Occupational Experience Form) that is required by the Colorado Department of Education.
Must have related degree, credential, and/or occupational experience in: Emergency Medical Care, Colorado EMT Registration Certification, Athletic Trainer Registration Certification, American Red Cross Emergency Medical Response Instructor Certificate or Paramedic.
State of Colorado EMT Registration Certification
Completed and submitted BVSD online application
Preferred:
CPR Instructor certification
Active and visible links to the emergency medical services field in order to offer student internships, apprenticeships, and employment.
Maintain industry standards and qualifications to offer community college courses through concurrent enrollment.
Knowledge of language arts and a willingness to integrate language arts standards using a co-teaching model.

Salary Placement varies according to experience and education.
