  • Must possess active Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential and meet NAEYC candidacy requirements (or willing to obtain)

  • CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain

  • 1 year Early Childhood Education Experience (preferred)

  • Must meet state specific guidelines for the role

  • Must be physically able to use a computer with basic proficiency, lift a minimum of 40 pounds, and work indoors or outdoors. Must be able to assume postures in low levels to allow physical and visual contact with children, see and hear well enough to keep children safe, and engage in physical activity with children.

  • Ability to speak, read, and write English.

TITLE: Clinic Network Education Program Coordinator   OVERVIEW: Provide education and training services within the Clinic Network representing Valley Medical Center according to the Service Culture Guidelines. This position will provide learning opportunities and facilitate the adult learning process throughout the network and assist with the integration of new learning into the practice environment as well as serve as a resource for professional growth and development of other personnel.   AREA OF ASSIGNMENT: Clinic Network   HOURS OF WORK: Hours vary to cover service needs (evening or weekend hours required occasionally).   RESPONSIBLE TO: Manager, Ambulatory Education and Training  PREREQUISITES: * Bachelor’s degree in Education, Adult Learning and/or Instructional Design or another closely related field. Relevant experience may substitute degree requirement. * Minimum of two years’ experience teaching adults, preferably in a healthcare setting. * Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written form in the English language.   QUALIFICATIONS: * Experience in staff development preferred. * Knowledge of adult learning principles, ability to design and develop curriculum, and ability to use the change process appropriately; ability to educate and adapt to various learning styles while using various teaching methodologies * Experience in delivery of education and training content across multiple platforms, including but not limited to, classroom training, one-on-one trainings, online media, etc. * Experience in evaluation of training techniques and outcomes to assess effectiveness. * Proficient with Microsoft tools * Able to handle multiple demands and competing priorities. * Ability to collaborate and work in a multidisciplinary team environment.   UNIQUE PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS, ENVIRONMENT, AND WORKING CONDITIONS: Must be able to sit and work at a computer for extended periods of time; must be able to tolerate fine motor movements associated with computer use; lift/carry 10 pounds occasionally.   PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES * Generic Job Functions: See Generic Job Description for Administrative Partner. * Essential Responsibilities and Competencies: * Assist with assessing and facilitating the educational needs of various Clinic Network roles including education and training needs for new employees and ongoing training needs to support operations and meet regulatory requirements. * Develop practice management training programs and curriculum/training materials to support effective staff education and training. * Evaluate the effectiveness of training delivery methods to ensure trainee competency. * Assist with planning for the initial and annual educational requirements for the Clinic Network. * Support the orientation of Front Office employees, including the use of systems (i.e., Epic) needed to perform in their role and setting. * Seek experiences that reflect current theories and methods of teaching, learning and delivery. * Practice in a manner that is sensitive to cultural diversity. * Ensure that educational activities are congruent with the VMC’s Mission, Vision, Values, and Goals and are based upon identified needs. * In collaboration with clinical leadership and content experts, develop and conduct educational programs to meet the needs of staff and support organizational initiatives. * Provide for the evaluation of the appropriateness and effectiveness of training resources as a component of educational activities. * Maintain a record-keeping and report process for education and training. * Maintain confidentiality within legal and regulatory parameters for all training situations. * Work with the Clinic Management team to maintain a continued state of readiness for all regulatory requirements. * Maintain a solid understanding of regulatory requirements. * Assist with managing training and education requests. * Conduct site visits to evaluate training and education needs. * Provide feedback to manager or clinic leadership team for any education or training concerns. * Collaborates with leaders, staff, and content experts to develop training materials and staff resources and tools to support translating new learnings into practice. * Assists in the implementation of new systems and workflows by: * Identifying staff training needs and developing content needed for implementation. * Assisting the development or revision of policies and procedures to support implementation. * Collaborate with Clinic Network leaders to facilitate staff training schedules. * Serves as a committee member as directed and communicates education and training needs as needed. * Provides consultation to support standardization of medical front office staff processes. * Incorporates new models, techniques and theories in to training and education materials for staff. * Provides guidance, resources and knowledge for professional growth of others. * Participates in community events as related to the role. * Expands knowledge through education and training opportunities. * Stay abreast of Clinic Network initiatives and use change process principles to guide education and training requirements. * Collaborate with agencies and organizations as needed to achieve mutual educational goals (community resources). * Able to work within a multidisciplinary group to maintain standardization of services within the Clinic Network. * Other duties as assigned.   Revised: 3/19 Grade: NCNM 22, 24, 26 FLSA: E CC: 8316  Job Qualifications: PREREQUISITES: * Bachelor’s degree in Education, Adult Learning and/or Instructional Design or another closely related field.
