Position Overview: Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children? We are looking for a dedicated Regular Education Teacher to deliver an engaging academic curriculum with personalized modifications per IEP. You'll play a crucial role in providing quality therapeutic and educational services to students in grades K-8.

Key Responsibilities:

• Individual & Group Instruction: Conduct academic assessments to tailor lesson plans that advance each student's knowledge.
• Collaborative Education: Work alongside students' academic and treatment plans, adhering to best practice standards.
• Team Meetings: Participate in treatment meetings and collaborate with parents to support students' progress and study skills.
• IEP Management: Lead or participate in IEP meetings, and prepare necessary documentation such as ERs, RRs, Behavioral Support Plans, and IEPs.
• Progress Monitoring: Maintain and update student records, progress reports, and academic files in compliance with IEP regulations.
• State Assessments: Administer state assessments (KEYSTONES, PSSA, PASA) as required.
• Lesson Planning: Develop weekly lesson plans and maintain grades using THINKWAVE.
• Professional Development: Obtain ACT 48 credits and meet training requirements in TCI, CPR, and First Aid.
• Collaborative Environment: Work closely with clinical and medical staff to enhance the overall academic and therapeutic experience.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Education: Bachelor's or master's degree in special education

Experience: 1 year Teaching Experience Preferred

Certification: Pennsylvania Public School Certification k-8 desired

Other Requirements: Proficient in in basic computer skills, ability to comply with physical and tuberculosis screenings per the Department of Education requirements.

All employees must have a Department of Education FBI Clearance, PA State Criminal Clearance, PA Child Abuse Clearance, and Mandated Child Abuse Training Certification. In addition, all employees will be subject to an ACT 168 background check.
