The Teacher Associate 2 is responsible for providing a safe and developmentally appropriate early care program in accordance with relevant licensing, policies and procedures. The Teacher Associate 2 will contribute with the Teacher and/or Teacher Associate 1 in planning and implementing both long and short range activities in accordance with educational component plans, curriculum objectives, developmentally appropriate practices and program philosophy. The Teacher Associate 2 will assume leadership in directing planning and implementation of lesson plans, incorporating all educational component plans. The Teacher Associate 2 will be respectful of children and families, and ensure that the curriculum meets the emotional, physical, cognitive, and social needs of both the individual child and the group.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for coordinating care and educational activities of our Infants, Toddlers and Twos (6 weeks-24 months) Develop, lead, evaluate and organize learning resources in the learning environment to promote positive learning experience.

  • Participate, conduct, interact, initiate and encourage the children with small group activities during the day.

  • Identify childrens individual and collective learning needs and prepare a plan of instruction that caters to the full ability range of the learning environment.

  • Utilize and facilitate a variety of teaching methods and lessons designed to capture childrens interest and individual learning.

  • Assess, record and communicate childrens progress during the year by holding parent/teacher conferences.

  • Foster appropriate skills and social attitudes in the children.

  • Supervise, support and guide the Teacher Associate 1 in the instructional process. Ensure the health and safety of the children at all times while maintaining and appropriate learning environment.

  • Maintain and meet educational requirements as it relates to the NAEYC Accreditation Standards and Criteria and GrowNJ Kids.

  • Maintain and meet the licensing requirements of the Department of Children and Families-Office of Licensing.

Qualifications

  • Certification as a Child Development Associate (CDA) or a Certified Child Care Professional (CCP)
  • Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education Knowledge of NAEYC Accreditation Standards and Criteria is preferred
  • 2-3 years of verified experience in a child care setting or related field is preferred

The Clinical Therapist is responsible for planning, organizing and implementing social work services to patients and families, as well as coordinating the discharge plan with the nurse case manager, multidisciplinary team and community agencies as necessary. This position is for a per diem crisis clinician in a very busy Emergency Department. The position will be working with the ED physician and nursing team to provide clinical assessment and disposition for children and adults that present for a crisis evaluation. Responsibilities A day in the life of a Clinical Therapist at Hackensack Meridian Health includes: * Bio-psychosocial assessment and diagnosis of child, adolescent, adult and older adult patients * Coordination of care with the Emergency Department team and Psychiatry * Screening for potential discharge needs in an effort to facilitate timely discharge plans * Performing Initial Case Management Assessment * Evaluating data gathered for the medical plan of treatment and social service programs * Performing multidisciplinary rounds * Reassessing of all patients receiving case management services * Performing Patient Education * Maximizing coordination of care * Counseling Assistance * Documenting and communicating to coordinate and maximize care * Reporting data * Participating in Meetings and Committees Qualifications * Current and valid LSW, LCSW, LAC or LPC in the State of New Jersey is required * Master's Degree in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling is required * Two (2) years of experience in an acute care setting is preferred * BLS/CPR by American Heart Association is preferred * Certified Case Manager is desirable * Computer skills If you feel that the above description speaks directly to your strengths and capabilities, then please apply today!
