Job Summary

Group I - Associate Teacher Group II/III -Teacher Plan and deliver a coordinated and inclusive instructional program to meet the needs of Extended Day Program (EDP) students; develop program that incorporates cognitive, social, emotional and physical areas of development; participate in individual or group meetings with Extended Day Program students and parents; prepare and maintain related records and reports.

Requirements / Qualifications

Education and Experience: Any combination of training, education and experience which demonstrates possession of the knowledges and abilities stated above, and the ability to perform the duties of the position.

Education: College coursework in Child Development, Education or Social Work. Bachelor's degree in sociology, child development, psychology or related field highly preferred.

Experience: Two years of social services, Extended Day Program or related experience in an instructional capacity highly preferred.

Experience working with children in groups in social and recreational or character building activities. License(s), certifications or other requirements: • Valid First Aid, Adult and Infant and CPR Certificate issued by an authorized agency. • Any permit or credential authorizing service in instruction in a Child Development Center. • Valid Early Childhood Education Permit or appropriate teaching credential. • Training on preventative health practices and administration of emergency medication such as EPI-PEN and asthmatic devices.
