Overview

This position's main focus is to ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of children ages 6 weeks to 5 years.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain a safe and healthy learning environment to promote the positive development of children

  • Provide developmentally appropriate curriculum to promote the physical and intellectual growth of children

  • Provide positive guidance to support the social and emotional development of children

  • Establish positive and productive relationships with families to provide consistency and support

  • Maintain a commitment to professionalism and to continue to improve as a teacher

  • General knowledge and operation of basic office equipment (Computers/keyboards/fax machines/copiers/telephones)

  • Follow and comprehend Instructions

  • Supportive and friendly to co-workers; children; parents;

  • Maintain successful attendance and performance standards

  • Able to meet physical demands of position

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent, at least 18 years of age, and completion of 45 hour course in child development approved by licensing or one 3 credit higher education course in early childhood development to be completed within one year of employment.

  • Must have or be willing to obtain CPR and First Aid certification
