Teacher Assistant

Little Friends, Greenwich, CT, a private, year-round early childhood program with a reputation for excellence, is currently seeking an Assistant Teacher for a 3’s preschool class. This is a wonderful opportunity to work with young children during their most magical years within a highly regarded early childhood program.

Assistant Teachers are responsible for:

• Contributing to the classroom experience by supporting curriculum delivery,
• Individual and group teaching,
• Care of children’s needs,
• Documentation of children’s progress and daily experience,
• Maintaining a safe and healthy environment,
• Classroom management,
• Classroom aesthetics
• CT OEC compliance
• Communication with colleagues and parents.

Requirements

Experience with young children, preferably in a classroom setting is preferred, but training is available to promising candidates who demonstrate an aptitude and genuine desire for teaching in an early childhood setting. Reliability, a responsible approach to work, positive energy, and the ability to work well others are important qualities in the ideal candidate.
