POSITION:
TEACHER ASSIGNED A -ELA IMPLEMENTATION SPECIALIST ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS
(POSITION FOR ONE YEAR)
LOCATION:
DISTRICTS 1-32, DISTRICT 75
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
Applicants must possess a valid New York State teaching certificate and a New York City license in one of the following areas.
Tenure is preferred
Early Childhood Education (birth-grade 2)
Childhood Education (Common Branch) (grades 1-6)
SELECTION CRITERIA:
At least eight years of successful teaching experience working in schools with significant experience in elementary schools ELA.
A minimum of three years of satisfactory, effective, or highly effective ratings.
Strong knowledge of teacher development
DUTIES/KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The ELA Implementation Specialist for Elementary School Grades is responsible for the ongoing development and support of school teams and the design and delivery of professional learning experiences and associated resources for schools
During the 2024-2025 school year, work with central/district/schools to conduct a needs assessment to determine ELA content and pedagogical areas requiring support in the Curriculum Implementation
SALARY:
As per UFT Collective Bargaining Agreement
