Total Education Solutions is currently looking for a Teacher Aide (One-to-One) to work to work in a Montessori school in Cleveland, Ohio.Teacher Aides will work alongside Intervention Specialist to provide educational instruction and support services related to meet the goals and objectives of each pupil's Individual Education Plan (IEP).

Requirements:

Experience working with Montessori education population.

Ideal applicants will have an associate's degree or higher OR have completed at least two years of study at an accredited institution of higher education, which is equivalent to 48 semester hours or 72 quarter hours OR 3 years of working with children with Special Needs. Applicants with a bachelor's degree and/or two years' experience working with aggressive students will be given priority.

Ideal candidate will have prior experience working with students in school setting or working towards their special education degree.

Must possess knowledge of Ohio Operating Standards, Ohio Administrative Code and Ohio Operating Standards Serving Students with Disabilities regarding programs and pupils.

Must have demonstrated ability to work effectively with professional and paraprofessional personnel in carrying out an effective instructional or remediation program.

Must have a working knowledge of modern office technology, equipment and procedures.

A valid OHIO driver's license, automobile insurance with a minimum of $100,000.00 liability coverage, and ability to drive to various sites to provide services a must.

A current background check through the FBI and the BCI must be submitted. Current TB test (within the last year).

Key Responsibilities: * Patrol facility and/or perform fixed-post duties as instructed * Serve as a general security presence and visible deterrent to crime and client rule infractions * Detect suspicious activities and watch for criminal acts or client rule infractions at or near assigned post which may be a threat to the property, client or employees at the site * Report all incidents, accidents and/or medical emergencies * Follows procedures to respond to emergencies and alarms, such as medical incident or bomb threats, or fire alarms or intrusion Retail Security Officer Quality Standards: * Comes to work well rested and alert; is on time and completes shift assignments (including overtime, if assigned) * Has a neat, professional appearance and arrives at work dressed in complete and clean assigned uniform * Has a friendly and professional demeanor and provides quality customer service * Is a good communicator (both verbal and written) and is capable of handling typical and crisis situations both efficiently and effectively * Must be assertive verbally and not shy away from intervention with large groups of juveniles or young adults.
