Starting Pay Range: $16 - $20/hr

Assists the classroom teacher in the implementation of a quality early childhood program in accordance with the ELC's educational philosophy and standards of ethical conduct.

What you will do as a Teacher's Aide:

• Promotes learning and development, responds promptly to children's needs and provides sensitive and nurturing care.

• Assists in setting up an attractive, orderly classroom and maintaining a clean environment.

• Follows the ELC's philosophy, policies and procedures and asks for clarification or assistance when necessary.

Having a Rewarding Career As A Teacher's aide Means:

• Some experience and knowledge of child development from birth to 12 years.

• High School Diploma or Equivalency required.

• Must have the ability to move about the classroom and other areas quickly and easily. This position requires the following physical activities related to the caring for children, including infants and toddlers: crouching, stooping, reaching, and grasping.
