SALARY: $50,000 - $81,950. First year teacher can earn $53,000 with Performance Pay ($3,000.00 approx.), which is earned and paid the same year.

WESD also provides District Coaches who do not evaluate, but visit schools with the purpose of helping teachers as an additional support system.

MINIMUM REQUIREMEENTS:

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

• Arizona Teaching Certificate

• Enrollment in a Teacher Certification Program (Senior Year), or

• Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education, Secondary Education or Special Education

• Bachelor's Degree in any area other that is not in Education and is willing to participate in the WESD's FREE two year Alternative Pathways Teacher Certification Program.

WESD offers BRIDGE, a free Classroom-Based Certificate program. No weekend coursework or late evenings.
