Position Information
Job Title Teacher 1 - Temporary Pool Department Little Bucs - 23153 Pay Grade Job Category Temporary Job Summary
Little Bucs is accepting applications for 10-month full-time temporary, Teacher 1 positions. Individuals in this position are responsible to the Director of ETSU Little Buccaneers for serving as major caregiver in assigned classroom; and performing other related duties as assigned.
The teacher will implement evidence-based strategies, and a developmentally- and culturally- appropriate, child-centered curriculum, which encourages learning through exploration and discovery and promotes the development of a positive self-image. The teacher will utilize teaching strategies and assessment tools that support each child's individualized learning goals, including goals that are outlined on an Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) or Education Plan (IEP) and align with Tennessee Early Learning Development Standards (TN-ELDS). The teacher will model positive social interactions and language. The teacher will implement positive class management techniques and strategies. All practices the teacher uses must be consistent with guidelines put forth by ETSU and the Tennessee's Department of Human Services.
Position is contingent upon sufficient funding.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of child development and early childhood education.
Ability to plan and implement developmentally appropriate programs for children.
Ability to supervise field experiences for college students.
Ability to lift, push, and pull.
Ability to stand for long periods of time.
Ability to occasionally lift and hold up to 50lbs
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in early childhood education or child development or a related field required; or at least 18 graduate credit hours completed in early childhood education in a master's program.
Preferred Qualifications
Ability to supervise field experiences for college students; Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education/Special Education.
