T&D Operations Supervisor In Wilmington

The Transmission & Distribution Operations Supervisor is responsible for providing leadership, motivation and support to ensure the district Lineworker and Designer team works safely to meet customer service, quality and production goals and works seamlessly during service restoration. The position coordinates scheduling, training, and efficiency of T&D by coordinating workflow throughout the districts.

This role requires a passion for safety, customer service, leading and developing employees, and experience within utility operations, preferably in a people leadership position. The T&D Operations Supervisor effectively coaches team members to be focused on safety while providing excellent customer service and holding them accountable for all aspects of their work. Emotional intelligence and connecting with employees are important attributes.

This position is a key role for T&D in running many concurrent projects and delivering value to GMP operations and it's customers, and is a critical position for power restoration activities. The ability to think practically and strategically in order to maximize new technology, seize GMP's innovative culture and ensure continuous improvement and high customer satisfaction is essential. The successful candidate will have outstanding communication and listening skills along with the ability to coach and inspire team members to the highest level of job performance.

Identifying and seizing opportunities for innovation, embracing uncertainty and risk and leveraging relationships across the organization are additional keys to success in this position as GMP continues its rapid evolution to eliminate outages.
