POSITION DETAILS

JOB PURPOSE

A variety of processes within supply chain management.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide support and guidance to the purchasing assistant. Act as a backup to the Purchasing Supervisor.

Maintain and Create Purchase Orders for plant operations. Contact vendors for shipping information and update computer systems, teams, and spreadsheets as required. Prepare BOL for shipment of materials to outside finishers.

Review repair tickets for order of correct components needed. Order materials needed to complete upcoming schedules correctly and in a timely manner and provide status updates on delivery issues. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

2+ years' experience in purchasing and planning.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

2+ years' experience in furniture purchasing and planning.

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

High School Diploma or Equivalent

PREFERRED EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's degree

REQUIRED SKILLS

Must have strong collaboration and interpersonal communication skills - speaking, presenting, writing, and focused listening. Must have strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Must be able to multi-task. Must be able and willing to train others. Must have sound judgment and effective decision-making abilities.

Must be able to determine root cause analysis and troubleshoot issues. Strict attention to detail is a must.

Must be quality minded; must be proficient with Microsoft Office applications and computer technology.

Must be able to perform established goals in a fast-paced environment.

Must be a Team Player. Must be reliable.

Must be able to work with minimum supervision. Must have your own reliable transportation. Must be able to work Weekends and Overtime. Must have strong communication skills in reading, comprehending, speaking, and writing in English.

PHYSICAL & ENVIROMENTAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 15 lbs.

Must be able to sit for a minimum of 8 hours per day. Some walking/standing is required.

Must be able to work in normal conditions of a furniture manufacturing plant which is heated and cooled, as well as a typical office environment.

Must have good vision.

Must be able to wear required PPE of Safety Glasses and close toe/close heal shoes when required.

Must be able to adhere to all Safety policies and procedures to prevent injuries to yourself and others.
