Tax, Trusts, & Estates Paralegal Brown & Streza, LLP is a mid-sized law firm in Orange County that focuses on Business Planning, Estate Planning, Complex Income Tax Planning, Charitable Sector and Mergers & Acquisitions. We are seeking a detail-oriented Paralegal to work with several estate planning attorneys. The position involves assisting the attorneys with fast-paced document intensive projects and a heavy workload, focused on irrevocable trusts.

Responsibilities and duties include: Working with attorneys and paralegals in a collaborative environment to review documents provided by clients and perform due diligence on clients’ existing documents, as well as preparing flow charts and spreadsheets to track information. Assisting in initial drafting of estate planning documents, specifically focused on irrevocable trusts.

Funding trusts with client assets. Communicating with clients and client advisors. Recording of deeds with accompanying transfer documents.

Maintaining client files. Requirements: Minimum 2 years of estate planning experience. Experience drafting revocable living trusts and/or irrevocable trusts and other foundational estate planning documents.

Strong follow-up and follow-through skills. Excellent organization, time management, proofreading, and word processing skills are essential. Proficiency in MS Office programs and Windows.

Current ABA-approved Paralegal certificate or equivalent experience. High level of accuracy and attention to detail. Knowledge of WealthDocs is preferred.

Experience working with corporate and/or real estate transactions is preferred.
