KPMG is currently seeking a Tax Technician to join our Global Mobility Services (GMS) practice.


  • Support global coordination among KPMG member firms with regard to member firms' client engagement-specific policies and procedures

  • Maintain and update various tracking, tax compliance and electronic systems

  • Prepare various reports to assist team members and manage the status of tax compliance and advisory projects

  • Create and prepare spreadsheets supporting client deliverables

  • Assist in gathering information from clients for the tax compliance process including the preparation of tax returns and extensions of time to file

  • Prepare client invoices, coordinate and process inter-firm billings, and prepare financial analyses


  • A minimum of one year of prior work experience

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university

  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access with strong computer skills overall Excellent administrative and organizational skills

  • Ability to interact with clients and work well in large team settings

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and people skills

VIEW JOBS 3/13/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-06-11T00:00 As an integral part of the global mobility team, the Global Mobility Senior Associate will support the program in the areas of US and global immigration, project management, international assignments, and compliance. Essential Duties: * Work with global mobility leadership and multi-disciplinary teams including HR, payroll, and tax in supporting the full life cycle of global assignments including: assisting in running cost projections, articulating and organizing immigration and assignment procedures, creating and administering an assignment agreement, assisting participants throughout the process, and coordinating efforts with internal and external partners to ensure a highly efficient and smooth experience for participants. * Provide interpretative guidance on global mobility and immigration policies to the HR community in the US and Canada. Facilitate discussions and train HR team members with regard to policies and procedures. Work with internal stakeholders on driving consistency across the firm. * Initiate immigration and global assignment cases with external vendors. Communicate clearly and effectively on immigration requirements, government procedures, case processing times to HR, employees and appropriate business leaders. Carefully track and monitor critical deadlines and proactively identify and discuss with appropriate individuals. * Responsible for maintaining immigration and relocation resources for internal partners and employees to include: FAQs, policies, and process documents. Keep abreast of market trends and business challenges, benchmark with industry peers and gather market data to ensure mobility programs are aligned with changes in market, business and/or regulatory conditions. Make recommended program updates as needed. Minimum Qualifications: * Any one or more of the following certifications are preferred: Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) or Global Mobility Specialist (GMS), or Global Professional Human Resources (GPHR) or Certified Relocation Professional (CRP) certification. * Bachelor degree or equivalent experience - required; Human Resources or related field emphasis preferred * Experience in both Global Mobility and US Domestic Relocation is essential * Ability to work independently, prioritize and multi-task within high volume environment and minimal supervision * Enterprise leadership skills focusing on best outcomes for the firm as a whole You want your next step to be the right one.
