JOB SUMMARY:

This is a Tax Specialist I position in the General Tax Administration Program, Account Management Process, Rate Unit. The incumbent conducts in-depth research and analysis of tax information filed with the Department and performs quality assurance reviews of the registration applications, account maintenance tasks, and forms processed in Account Management.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Currently employed with the Florida Department of Revenue.

  • Experience performing registration functions in the System for Unified Taxation (SUNTAX) in a Revenue Specialist III position or higher.

  • Experience performing reemployment tax experience rating functions in in the System for Unified Taxation (SUNTAX).

  • Experience researching, interpreting, and applying Florida tax laws.

SPECIAL NOTES:

  • This position requires the incumbent to work eight hours a day, between the hours of Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

  • Mandatory overtime may be needed during peak periods, which could include weekends.

SALARY: The hiring salary for this position generally will not exceed $3,798.59 monthly/$45,583.08 annually.
