A career in our Tax Reporting and Strategy practice, within Innovation services, will provide you with the opportunity to help our clients' tax departments redesign, redefine, and redeploy tax to be a strategic asset across the enterprise. You'll focus on assisting clients incorporate increased automation in the tax reporting process, increase analytic capabilities through data integration, and create solid internal controls that will enable the Tax function to deliver better quality output and contribute more strategically to organisational decision making. Our team helps our clients expand the tax role to include research, analytics, and technologies to improve how their organisation collaborates and performs. You'll focus on enhancing the tax reporting process by incorporating increased automation, integrating quality data, developing analytic capabilities, and utilising technology to deliver better quality output in less time.

Responsibilities

As a Manager, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Proactively assist in the management of a portfolio of clients, while reporting to Senior Managers and above

  • Be involved in the financial management of clients

  • Be actively involved in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new/existing clients

  • Contribute to the development of your own and team's technical acumen

  • Develop strategies to solve complex technical challenges

  • Assist in the management and delivering of large projects

  • Train, coach, and supervise staff

  • Keep up to date with local and national business and economic issues

  • Continue to develop internal relationships and your PwC brand

Other business related field provided all of the minimum requirements are met for CPA licensure per respective state regulations

CPA, Six Sigma Yellow Belt or Six Sigma Green Belt

Preferred Knowledge/Skills:

Comprehensive knowledge of the tax issues facing multinational US companies or publically traded entities, with an emphasis on tax compliance and consulting services tailored to organizations with domestic operations and the goal of tax minimization. Working knowledge of FAS 109 and related software, Beta Management, Organization Design, Process Improvement, Controls, and Risk Management. Some knowledge of general tax. Working knowledge of FAS 109 and FIN 48.

Demonstrated experience identifying and addressing client needs: actively participating in client discussions and meetings; communicating a broad range of Firm services; managing engagements including preparing concise, accurate documents and balancing project economics management with the occurrence of unanticipated issues. Demonstrated experience as a team leader: creating a positive environment by monitoring workloads of the team while meeting client expectations and respecting the work-life quality of team members; providing candid, meaningful feedback in a timely manner; and keeping leadership informed of progress and issues.

This individual will play a critical role in shaping the future of Mobile Supply Chain and should be both very detail oriented and capable of thinking strategically about the big picture. They will be responsible for dissecting complex problems that the business is facing on a day-to-day basis, while also identifying what future improvements can be made to ensure the organization operates in a best-in-class manner. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The Manager of Mobile Supply Chain Reporting & Analytics will provide support for modeling monthly Mobile Supply Chain business projections, quarterly expense forecasts and annual budgets Provide strategic and detailed analytical modeling to drive decision making for Mobile Supply Chain-wide initiatives The Manager of Mobile Supply Chain Reporting & Analytics will assist in the prioritization and progress tracking of key initiatives including collaborating with stakeholders across the organization to assemble and coordinate cross-functional teams Review Mobile Supply Chain's performance, calculate variances both to trends and budget, and be prepared to present findings to leadership The Manager of Mobile Supply Chain Reporting & Analytics will reconcile financial and operational reporting between various sources, systems and financial reports, conduct root cause analysis on variances, and resolve issues identified Help design and manage reporting for department leadership to track key operational and financial metrics Assist in ad hoc reporting and analysis requests from Leadership Perform other duties as required by supervisor REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Skills/Abilities and Knowledge Ability to read, write, speak and understand English Exceptional analytic, organizational, and problem solving skills Strong attention to detail Ability to prepare, analyze, and interpret complex financial reports and analyses Ability to prioritize and organize effectively Knowledge of budgeting and P&L reporting Extensive experience with business case development and financial modeling Strong computer skills including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Access PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Skills/Abilities and Knowledge Excellent financial management skills including forecasting, budgeting and strategic planning Education Bachelor's Degree preferably in Business, Economics, Mathematics, or other related field Master's preferred Related Work Experience Financial analysis experience Budget and forecasting preparation or related experience Industry related FP&A, management consulting, or financial industry experience is a plus WORKING CONDITIONS Office environment Some travel may be required #LI-FO Charter Spectrum Stamford CT
