A career in our Tax Reporting and Strategy practice, within Innovation services, will provide you with the opportunity to help our clients' tax departments redesign, redefine, and redeploy tax to be a strategic asset across the enterprise. You'll focus on assisting clients incorporate increased automation in the tax reporting process, increase analytic capabilities through data integration, and create solid internal controls that will enable the Tax function to deliver better quality output and contribute more strategically to organisational decision making. Our team helps our clients expand the tax role to include research, analytics, and technologies to improve how their organisation collaborates and performs. You'll focus on enhancing the tax reporting process by incorporating increased automation, integrating quality data, developing analytic capabilities, and utilising technology to deliver better quality output in less time.


As a Manager, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Proactively assist in the management of a portfolio of clients, while reporting to Senior Managers and above

  • Be involved in the financial management of clients

  • Be actively involved in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new/existing clients

  • Contribute to the development of your own and team's technical acumen

  • Develop strategies to solve complex technical challenges

  • Assist in the management and delivering of large projects

  • Train, coach, and supervise staff

  • Keep up to date with local and national business and economic issues

  • Continue to develop internal relationships and your PwC brand

Preferred Knowledge/Skills:

Comprehensive knowledge of the tax issues facing multinational US companies or publically traded entities, with an emphasis on tax compliance and consulting services tailored to organizations with domestic operations and the goal of tax minimization. Working knowledge of FAS 109 and related software, Beta Management, Organization Design, Process Improvement, Controls, and Risk Management. Some knowledge of general tax. Working knowledge of FAS 109 and FIN 48.

Demonstrated experience identifying and addressing client needs: actively participating in client discussions and meetings; communicating a broad range of Firm services; managing engagements including preparing concise, accurate documents and balancing project economics management with the occurrence of unanticipated issues. Demonstrated experience as a team leader: creating a positive environment by monitoring workloads of the team while meeting client expectations and respecting the work-life quality of team members; providing candid, meaningful feedback in a timely manner; and keeping leadership informed of progress and issues.

The position will support multiple functions such as accounting, operations, revenue management, sales, and Investor/owner compliance. The Data Management and Reporting Manager will report to the Chief Technology Officer and will work closely with the company's corporate accounting team. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: * Design and document the Company's data workflow and integrations. * Obtain a comprehensive understanding of the Company's business and financial applications to assess and ensure these tools are being utilized to achieve maximum output * Oversee the Company's data management function to ensure data integrity, and efficiency as the data flows between applications (incoming and outgoing data; internal and external data) * Build and design automated and standard reports to be utilized across all functions. Reduce and eliminate manual reporting * Create reporting standardization across the portfolio * Lead and implement technology enhancements – updates, new tools, user training * Participate in due diligence and onboarding of new properties in establishing the IT and reporting structure Minimum Requirements * The individual that has a strong aptitude for business and financial applications * Previous accounting experience in a supervisory capacity within the hospitality industry. * A degree in either accounting or information technology is acceptable if an individual can demonstrate working knowledge and skills in both areas. Years of professional experience in the industry and accounting/information technology will be considered instead of a college degree. * Must have strong diplomacy and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with senior managers, team members, and guests. * The ideal candidate will possess exceptional organizational skills, including effective task delegation, time management, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. * Technical knowledge of MS Dynamics SL, Management Reporter, ProfitSage, ProfitPlan, SQL, and database management is preferred. * Strong skills for analysis and problem-solving. * Effective leadership skills with the ability to interact with all levels of management * Strong administrative skills, to include business writing, mathematics for basic accounting and knowledge of Microsoft Office programs. * Ability to sit for hours at a time. * Availability to work 40 hours per week.
