Jackson Hewitt offers training (certification by state) related to income tax preparation and the delivery of excellent customer service, flexible hours (part-time and full-time) and bonus potential. This position has access to and regularly works with information of a sensitive, highly confidential nature, and regularly deals with diverse matters which require a working knowledge of the business.

Responsibilities

  • Presents the Company's value proposition to clients concerning various company products and services and uses prescribed selling techniques.

  • Conducts a thorough in-person interview with potential clients, using the company's propriety tax software application. Delivers exceptional customer service by anticipating customer needs and considers the impact of all decisions/actions on the customer.

  • Answering client calls via our national call center routing system.

  • Completes all related tax forms in accordance with policies, and in compliance with legislation and regulations. Furnishes taxpayers with sufficient information and advice to ensure correct tax form completion.

  • Consults tax law reference materials to determine procedures for preparation of atypical returns.

  • Answers questions and provide future tax planning to clients.

  • Reviews financial records such as income statements and documentation of expenditures to determine forms needed to prepare tax returns.

  • Researches tax related questions and issues, and responds to clients appropriately and within a timely manner.

  • Resolves client complaints, or refers situations to supervisor (as appropriate) for resolution

  • Audits all tax return forms for accuracy and completeness (i.e., client signatures).

Requirements

Tax Preparer I

  • Presents the Company's value proposition to clients concerning various company products and services and uses prescribed selling techniques.

  • Top candidates for this position will have retail experience providing exceptional client service and performing multiple tasks in a fast paced environment.

  • Hands-on marketing with surrounding businesses, including office visits to promote brand awareness and new clientele

  • High School Degree or equivalent.

  • 0-1 years of experience preferably in sales, service and or tax preparation.

  • Good communication, interpersonal and customer services skills.

  • Basic knowledge of computer functions required.

  • Must be able to obtain certification by the state with a PTIN (Preparer Tax Identification Number).

  • Ability to lift a maximum of 25 lbs.

Tax Preparer II

  • Presents the Company's value proposition to clients concerning various company products and services and uses prescribed selling techniques.

  • Top candidates for this position will have retail experience providing exceptional client service and performing multiple tasks.

  • Hands-on marketing with surrounding businesses, including office visits to promote brand awareness and new clientele

  • High School Degree or equivalent.

  • 1-2 years of experience preferably in sales, service and or tax preparation.

  • Remote Support or Call Center ready certified required.

  • Previous experience in tax preparation and filing a plus.

  • Good communication, interpersonal and customer services skills.

  • Basic knowledge of computer functions required.

  • PTIN certification (Preparer Tax Identification Number).

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Ability to work under pressure, in a fast-paced working environment.

  • Ability to lift a maximum of 25 lbs.

Tax Preparer III

  • Presents the Company's value proposition to clients concerning various company products and services and uses prescribed selling techniques.

  • Top candidates for this position will have retail experience providing exceptional client service and performing multiple tasks.

  • Field Instructor, Remote Support and Call Center certified.

  • Hands-on marketing with surrounding businesses, including office visits to promote brand awareness and new clientele

  • High School Degree or equivalent.

  • 2+ years of experience preferably in sales, service and or tax preparation.

  • Experience completing complex returns.

  • Must have current PTIN.

  • Good communication, leadership, interpersonal and customer services skills.

  • Basic knowledge of computer functions required.

  • Enrolled Agent (EA) certification preferred.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Ability to work under pressure, in a fast-paced working environment

  • Ability to lift a maximum of 25 lbs.

Job Summary As a Seasonal Merchandiser with Spectrum Brands, you will play an essential role in the success of our business during our peak spring season! As you bring your energy and expertise, you will service the Home & Garden departments in our big box retailers, such as Home Depot and Lowes. As part of the day-to-day responsibilities the Merchandiser will be responsible for servicing a given territory, completing re-sets and promoting the sale of our company's consumer packaged goods products through listening to the consumers and asking the right questions. In order to do this the Merchandiser will need to be able to establish a positive rapport with store personnel and customers, built loyalty and relay information to Spectrum Brands Sales team regarding inventory wins or opportunities. You must be able to work with minimal to no supervision and have reliable transportation. Seasonal assignments will have an end date based on business needs, with the potential opportunity to be invited back for upcoming seasons or perhaps be considered for full time employment! Primary Duties & Responsibilities * Maintaining store presentation standards through building displays, , fixture installation, store sets, shelf maintenance, down stock, retrofits, inventory reconciliation, display maintenance and POP installation. * Identify opportunities for incremental display space to drive volume goals. * Provide product knowledge training to store personnel with the intention of allowing them to better drive sales to the end user. * Cover multiple stores daily in an assigned territory * Generating sales by increasing brand awareness and trial through direct interactions with consumers in assigned stores. * Participate in promotional events in assigned territory * Assist and monitor customer satisfaction. * Must understand and demonstrate safe work practices at all times to ensure a safe work environment. * Comply with all company policies and procedures. * Other duties as assigned. Education and Experience Profile An equivalent combination of: * High school diploma or GED preferred but NOT REQUIRED and; * 1 to 2 years previous sales or retail experience ideal.
