The Role

Tax Paraprofessional provide support to client engagement teams. Primary responsibilities and essential functions will include, but are not limited to:

  • Tax Compliance support

  • Maintain tracking lists of documents received and still outstanding on an individual client level throughout the filing year from January through October.

  • Create and maintain lists of advisor contacts and online portals.

  • Maintain status tracking of ongoing client projects

  • Track project and return timelines to ensure deadline adherence

  • Assemble and organize documents into PDFs following an established ordering system.

  • Save and update document files.

  • Communicate regularly with client service teams regarding outstanding items.

  • Interact with service team members on a regular and continual basis to accomplish the tasks.

  • Assisting in onboarding of new clients

  • Support and participation in business development and marketing initiatives

  • Administrative duties and projects

The Requirements

  • Associate or Bachelor's Degree, in progress or completed.

  • Strong multitasking, problem solving and organizational skills.

  • Proficient use of technology including MS Office, Excel proficiency.

  • Excellent communication skills, proven ability to present information, both verbal and written, in a clear, concise manner.

  • Ability to work part of a team, and also function independently.

  • Excellent attention to detail.

  • Professional demeanor and positive attitude.

  • Ability to maintain a high level of discretion when dealing with sensitive/confidential information.

  • Ability to work overtime as necessary.

Preferred:

  • 1 or more years of experience in a professional setting

  • Experience in Tax Accounting or other Professional Accounting Services background.
