Overview:

The Tax Manager is an integral part of the Vineyard Vines Controller Group and has responsibility for managing all aspects of indirect tax for Vineyard Vines and its 3 legal entities. This position will support the tax function for Vineyard Vines, by managing sales and use tax reporting and compliance, property tax reporting and compliance and accounting for indirect taxes. There is the opportunity to participate in the tax provision process, as well as federal income tax planning and compliance. The role reports directly to the Vice President, Controller and is a single contributor.

In addition, as a pass thru entity partnership, the Director of Tax owns and manages the relationship with the founding owners' Family Offices. the tax provision process, federal income tax planning and compliance

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage process of reporting and compliance of indirect taxes including sales, property and certain business gross receipts tax returns including the review of tax return filings and oversight of all audits in these areas; specifically:

• Review and supervise outsourced provider in the preparation and filing of over 100 sales and use tax returns each month

• Review and supervise outsourced provider in the preparation and filing over multiple property tax filings each period

• Review and supervise outsourced provider in the preparation and filings of all required business licenses for owned stores and other lines of business

• Review and evaluate US federal, state and local tax audits, including inquiries and notices

• Knowledge of payroll tax laws also beneficial

What you bring:

• 5-8 years of relevant tax experience, including indirect tax

• Minimum 3 years of Big 4 public firm tax experience; additional years of industry preferred

• Collaborative team player with a hands-on approach; a roll-up-the-sleeves mentality

• Solid analytical and quantitative skills, as well as verbal, written and communication skills
