About the team and the role:

eBay is looking for an experienced Tax Manager

• Tax Accounting to join our US tax team! This is a key position within eBay's US tax team, which is known for its excellence and commitment to quality. The individual in this role will be responsible for various aspects of the company's tax accounting processes, including the preparation of tax provisions, maintaining tax records, and ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations. They will also be instrumental in driving process improvements and maintaining strong internal controls over the tax function.

What you will accomplish:

• Assist with the quarterly and annual tax provision process;

• Maintain inventory of uncertain tax positions, including utilizing OneSource Uncertain Tax Positions module;

• Maintain tax account analysis in OneSource Tax Provision Payable module; provide analysis of tax balance sheet accounts

• Assist in the computation and modeling for Pillar 2;

• Work with internal and external stakeholders to maintain SOX documentation and support.

• Ensure internal control processes over the tax function are properly performed and documented;

• Responsible for preparing tax provisions for various separate entity financial statements;

• Partner with various groups within the tax department, finance, corporate accounting, and treasury to capture data needed to support the tax provision calculations;

• Support the tax department with technical research on various tax issues;

• Drive tax process improvement and optimization;

What you will bring:

• Strong analytical skills, and experience applying these skills to resolve operational tax issues;

• Experience with tax preparation software, preferably ONESOURCE Tax Provision, and Uncertain Tax Positions;

• Experience with Alteryx and SharePoint;

• Attention to detail through academic and/or managed audit experience;

• Strong written and verbal communications skills;

• Ability to deliver top flight work in a fast growth environment;

• Desire to learn new skills; and ability to work as a part of a larger group.

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment in California, Washington, or New York is expected in the range below.

$106,800 - $162,800

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
