The Tax Manager, Transfer Pricing will be results-oriented and responsible for leading the transfer pricing function of Fortive Corporation. Essential duties of this position include:
Collaborate with teams in tax, accounting, financial reporting, and supply chain across the Fortive group for accurate documentation, effective operational transfer pricing, and coordinated impacts of transfer pricing to VAT and customs
Conduct economic and financial analysis to optimize transfer pricing results under model which does not permit single side testing
Support and lead elements of Fortive tax innovation project for automation of transfer pricing work-streams
Ensure transfer pricing methods and documentation comply with U.S. transfer pricing statute, OECD guidelines, and local statutory requirements
Serve as transfer pricing subject matter expert for decentralized Operating Company organization
Coordinate and support external advisors for transfer pricing documentation, benchmarks, and planning
Support workstreams related to tax innovation for process automation of quarterly analytics and financial segmentation for intercompany transaction flows
Coordinate and support development of operational transfer pricing models for Operating Company
Support development of transfer pricing documentation standards for use by internal and external documentation providers
Support development of entity valuation standards to support M&A transactions and equity investment testing on statutory accounts
Support tax controversy and audit management for transfer pricing inquiries
Coordinate with internal teams to implement or update intercompany agreements; ensuring agreements accurately reflect arms length standard and operational transfer price in place
Continuously monitor global BEPS and other legislative changes and identify company impact
To be a good fit for this opportunity you will have:
A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics; Graduate degree and professional certifications preferred (e.g., PhD, MBA, MST, CPA)
6 years of transfer pricing or related experience and ability to work independently on transfer pricing projects with limited oversight.
Demonstrated knowledge of U.S. transfer pricing regulations and OECD transfer pricing principles is required.
Highly analytical, detail oriented with advanced reporting skills
Demonstrated critical thinking ability and strong financial acumen
Outstanding issue recognition and opportunity recognition skills
Proven track record of process improvement with demonstrated history of leveraging software and tools (e.g., Tableau, Alteryx, Vertex Tax Performance Engine, etc.)
The ability to balance a partnering approach with firm stance on ethics and statutory requirements
Strong oral and written communication skills with ability to provide clear and concise information to individuals outside the transfer pricing team
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively with diverse personalities in a high matrixed organization
