Tax Manager

We are currently seeking to add a Tax Manager for our Accounting team. This is the perfect opportunity for someone who has a passion for accounting, is detail orientated, and thrives while working both independently and in a team environment.

The Tax Manager role will require a combination of technical expertise, analytical capabilities, and keen business acumen in order to succeed.

This position will be onsite, at our Offices, in Homer Glen, IL.

Responsibilities:

Ensure compliance with federal income tax laws and regulations, coordinating the preparation and filing of all required tax returns in a timely and accurate manner.Develop and implement strategies to minimize the company's tax liabilities while remaining compliant with all applicable laws and regulations.Oversee all aspects of state and local tax compliance, including apportionment, nexus, and filing requirements across the 15 states where the company operates.Manage the sales tax process, ensuring accuracy in calculating, collecting, and remitting sales tax in accordance with state regulations.Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations that may impact the company's tax position, and provide guidance on compliance and planning opportunities.Coordinate with external tax advisors and auditors to support the tax provision process and to ensure accurate financial reporting.Provide strategic tax advice and support to senior management on various business initiatives, transactions, and structures.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, legal, and operations, to ensure alignment on tax matters and optimize overall business outcomes.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA and/or advanced degree preferred.Minimum of 6-8 years of progressive tax experience, with a focus on federal income tax, SALT, and sales tax, preferably in a public accounting firm serving similar clients.Strong technical knowledge of relevant tax laws and regulations, with the ability to interpret and apply complex tax concepts.Experience managing tax compliance processes, including tax provision calculations and reporting.Proven track record of developing and implementing tax strategies to achieve business objectives and optimize tax efficiency.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex tax matters to non-tax stakeholders.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a detail-oriented approach to tax compliance and reporting.Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.#ZR TM Homer Glen
