Join The Colony Group in making your everyday extraordinary The Colony Group seeks a motivated and qualified individual for the position of Tax Manager. The individual selected for this opportunity will play an integral part of the Tax Advisory team and is responsible for the day-to-day activities, essentially acting as an expediter for all tax activities.

In addition, this position will be responsible for managing, coordinating, and supporting the overall tax efforts for the firm to ensure we are meeting firm goals. Primary responsibilities for this position include: Tax planning and preparation for high-net-worth individuals and their related entities; Performing first reviews on certain individual, partnership, S-corp, and fiduciary returns; Ensuring compliance with all federal and state filing requirements on behalf of clients; Acting as a resource to wealth management teams for tax planning, tax research, and ongoing education of tax-related developments; Assist the Director of Tax Services with regularly educating permanent and seasonal tax preparation staff; Assist the Director of Tax Services with communicating relevant tax developments to clients through newsletters, social media, and/or other communications Qualifications:

A CPA or JD with a minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience. A demonstrated focus on preparing individual and entity tax returns with a primary focus on high-net-worth individuals and families. Superb written and verbal communication skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, and proven ability to learn other technology. Notable attention to detail, self-initiated follow-through, and outstanding time management and organizational skills; and Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-office environment and to juggle multiple and competing tasks and demands. The position prefers:

Experience preparing private foundation and gift tax returns. Experience with CCH Axcess or ProSystem fx® Tax and BNA Income Tax™ Planner; and Big Four” or large regional accounting firm experience. This is an Exempt Role
