Description

Private Client Service (PCS) Tax Managers serve as members of various client service teams and must possess strong technical knowledge of individual, trust and partnership income tax planning, consulting and compliance. Experience with estate and gift tax planning is a plus.

In addition to the preparation and review of tax returns, Tax Managers participate in identifying client issues and communicating with clients and financial managers. Managers must possess and maintain strong written and oral presentation skills, conduct research on various client issues, and supervise Associates and Senior Associates. Participation in the professional growth and development of Associates and Senior Associates is also a key component of Managers' responsibilities.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

  • Bachelor's and/or Master's degree required;

  • Accounting, Finance, Economics or related degree preferred;

  • Advanced credential allowing for client representation before the Internal Revenue Service required (i.e. CPA or JD);

  • At least 4 years relevant work experience with an accounting firm, including at least 3 years of Private Client experience;

  • Leadership and organizational skills;

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and a natural facilitator;

  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills; and

  • Proficient use of technology including MS Excel.

The Role Working closely with the Client Management department in the Los Angeles office, the Front of House and Client Services Temp has responsibility for carrying out day to day tasks and administrative duties. Specific duties & responsibilities will include but are not limited to Front of House and Client Services * Handle general client (internal and external) inquiries across all communication channels as outlined in Christie's Client Service Standards * Provide Front of House support to greet and assist clients * Receive and distribute mail and packages * Register clients to bid * Facilitate in-person catalogue sales * Answer complex inquiries about our eCommerce sales, ranging from registration to shipping * Record client feedback, as well as problem-solve and take ownership of more complex situations * Answer questions about payment methods and collection options * Amend client information in client management system. * Maintain strong awareness of overall business activities to communicate relevant information * Work closely with manager to maintain regional calendar via various internal systems, maintaining timely updates * Work closely with Logistics team to ensure lead time and resource allocation is sufficient * Facilitate the scheduling of all viewing rooms as needed for private client viewings * Field incoming queries related to sale scheduling, viewings, special events, exhibitions, and tours * Generate client-facing inventory lists and distribute to teams * Facilitate the creation of lot cards * Assist manager in creating and maintaining relevant department metrics and KPI's; actively update metrics deck and assist in analysis * Working with Logistics, maintain gallery space and escalate issues immediately to manager * Lot cards and gallery guides for all tours * Accounts Payable Special Events * RSVP management and outreach * Check-in (pre-event, during event and post-event) * Accepting deliveries * Assisting with the phone and walk-in traffic * Updating COS with current RSVP's and previous event updates * Updating COI's from vendors * Photography for Instagram * Stuffing gift bags * Managing validation of event tickets * Helping with inventory * Printing off proposals The Candidate * Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent work experience * Experience of client service, event management, or marketing * Passionate commitment to client service with excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Able to engage across a range of stakeholders from external vendors to top clients, senior management and peers with consistency and grace * Proactive, resourceful, self-starter, able to organize multiple tasks simultaneously while remaining calm under pressure * Excellent general IT skills, knowledge of Microsoft Office essential * Demonstrated superior client service and interpersonal skills, with interest in working with a wide variety of people * Strong listening skills with high level of patience * Detail oriented with a high degree of organization and ability to multi-task, with prompt follow up * Willingness to work well as a team member and promote team effectiveness, including an ability to work professionally and responsibly with all departments within the client service delivery chai Closing Date: Wednesday, September 25th Christie's Los Angeles CA
