About the role

Our growing finance team is looking for an energetic and responsible Tax Manager to be an integral part of our team. Reporting to the Senior Director of Tax, this position will assist in the management of tax accounting under ASC 740 related to global operations, manage the U.S. Federal, State, and local compliance processes and reporting requirements, and assist in ensuring compliance with respect to the Company's global transfer pricing policies.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with quarterly and year end income tax provision matters under ASC 740, and ensure Internal Controls are being followed as documented.

  • Manage the process for filing U.S. federal and state income tax returns, quarterly estimates, and year-end extensions. Review income tax return workpapers to support tax returns.

  • Assist with responding to IDR's (and other related federal and state correspondence) for both Federal and State income tax audits as they occur.

  • Assist with the testing and monitoring of legal entity results to ensure compliance with global transfer pricing policies.

  • Work on special projects as directed by the Senior Director of Tax, working with outside advisors as needed.

  • Utilize tax research skills and materials to develop technical arguments to support filing positions and defend audit questions.

Required Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting

  • Must be a CPA or MBT. (Both preferred)

  • A minimum of 4 to 7 years experience in a large corporate Tax department or equivalent experience with a major accounting firm.

  • An in-depth knowledge of U.S. federal and state taxes law and theory.

  • Working knowledge of ASC 740.

  • Excellent analytical, quantitative and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • A positive, optimistic, action-oriented individual with a 'can do' and team player mentality.

  • Detail-oriented combined with ability to see the big picture.

  • Ability to utilize computers as a tool with skills in Excel, Word, Tax Compliance and Research Software, and Windows based software.
