You will have the opportunity to support our department with a wide range of tax and accounting related responsibilities, including ASC 740 income tax accounting, federal and state income and franchise tax compliance, and various tax planning projects. You will be a part of a small team that focuses on compliance and direct tax.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Help with quarterly and annual income tax provision, deferred tax inventory, tax reserve analysis, and prepare required footnote disclosures in accordance with ASC 740 guidance and SEC requirements.

  • Assist with general ledger account reconciliations for tax related accounts.

  • Accumulate, analyze, and process financial accounting data for preparation of all income and franchise tax compliance.

  • Assist with the coordination with external providers to complete all federal, state, and local income and franchise tax returns and related estimates and extensions.

  • Assist in managing income and franchise tax audits to minimize corporate tax liability.

  • Research, interpret, and comply with tax laws and regulations and evaluate the tax impact of current and proposed company activities and transactions.

  • Respond to tax-related correspondence and research issues.

  • Assist with tax planning projects.

Qualifications

  • This is a GREAT opportunity for someone who has been working in Public Accounting firm for a couple of years who wants to focus on one client and have more flexibility,

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent; CPA and Masters in Taxation (in progress) highly desired.

  • 6 +plus years experience in corporate income taxation and corporate compliance.

  • Experience in income tax in "Big 4" public accounting firm and/or Fortune 500 corporate tax department is highly desired.

  • Experience in all aspects of ASC 740 Accounting for Income Taxes, including but not limited to annual income tax provision accounting, interim income tax provision accounting, accounting for uncertain tax positions, tax accounting for stock based compensation, and tax accounting for business combinations.

  • Knowledge of accounting theory and financial statement presentation.

  • Ability to use personal computer and software applications (i.e. word processing, spreadsheet, etc.); including advanced Excel skills.

  • Excellent organizational ability - able to handle multiple projects with a high level of accuracy and meet critical deadlines.

  • Ability to research tax law and reach conclusions.

  • Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment.

The individual will play a key role in supporting all aspects of US outbound international and transfer pricing matters. Responsibilities include, but not limited to the following: * Assist with various US International tax calculations and analyses including E&P, FTC positions, Subpart-F, GILTI, FDII, and BEAT for planning, quarterly & year-end provision and compliance purposes * Managing international components of the co-sourced US tax compliance process, including all related computations, forms, disclosures & schedules * Managing all non-US income tax compliance review, including coordination with internal and external teams * Assist in international tax planning, M&A integration and other tax related projects * Support global transfer pricing planning, computations, maintenance and documentation * Provide tax advisory support on international income and transactional taxes to cross functional teams * Perform tax research and analysis of technical tax issues, tax legislation and regulatory proposals * Support tax technology, automation, and process improvement initiatives as it relates to international tax matters and computations * Provide support to both internal and external audits Experience/Skills Required: * 5 - 7 years of international tax experience with public accounting firm and/or corporate tax department * Strong computer skills utilizing MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint * Detail-oriented with good analytical and communication skills * Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced and dynamic environment * Strong project management and organizational skills to managing projects involving external advisors, auditors, regional finance, and business teams * Proven track record to meet various deadlines associated with day-to-day responsibilities alongside special project-work * Bachelor degree in Accounting, MS in Tax or CPA preferred #LI-MM1 Workday, Inc.
