In the role of the DMTS Architect you will work directly with Tax IT DevOps and Infrastructure personnel to understand the business priorities, challenges and architect systems that position us to meet the future demands of the business.
Perform gap analysis of the enterprise architecture domains.
Lead architecture and design sessions with internal customers.
Envision and architect the most complete, value based solutions.
Deliver transformation roadmaps, optimization and standardization strategies.
Participate in the development and execution of the IT strategy.
Function as an architectural liaison between Functional, Technical and Vendor groups.
Advise team responsible regarding impact on overall architecture for development of reports, conversions, extensions, interfaces, and workflows.
Advise on deployment strategies that impact architecture.
Ensure common architectures are used across Tax initiatives.
Analyze existing Tax and Systems Architecture processes, systems and potential customized system solutions against "Best Practices" and document/champion architecture gap closure.
Assist with project planning and system implementation.
Develop feasibility, business case studies, and estimates.
Support Tax IT Change Management activities.
Establish yourself as a trusted advisor and strategic expert.
Lead context specific architecture workshops and routine briefings on relevant technology and architectural trends.
Understanding the merit, risk and viability of the solution(s) proposed to meet the objectives of the strategy.
Negotiate and influence management.
What we're looking for...
You'll need to have:
Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
Six or more years of relevant work experience.
Even better if you have:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, IT or Project Management.
Exhibited knowledge of architecture integration points and the order in which these must be executed.
Experience in Enterprise Architecture Analysis, Data Analysis, Business Process Analysis.
Demonstrated ability to quickly gain the trust of senior management and to understand and communicate their business objectives and strategies.
Supported large engagement teams by providing hands-on architecture expertise in the development and configuration of the Tax IT Solutions.
Project management experience.
Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication.
Strong team player with demonstrated interpersonal skills and proven ability to work collaboratively across teams.
Experience from consulting companies or system integrators as senior solution architect.
Sound architecture knowledge of IT Hardware / Networking to be able to lead a team of IT Support professionals.
Eight or more years of overall experience in software engineering, IT leadership, infrastructure solutions or similar technical roles.
