Tax Intern, Part Time
WestRock is looking for a Tax intern. This one-year internship position will be exposed to numerous aspects of U.S. federal, international and state income tax provision, and compliance process. At the end of the internship, the candidate will have a broad understanding of the different areas of Corporate Tax.
How you will impact WestRock:
Assist in federal, international and state compliance.
Assist with tax accounting, including tax provisions and deferred tax analyses.
Assist in the preparation of the Company's federal and selected state estimated income tax payments.
Assist in data manipulation.
Assist in software development such as Robotic Process Automation
Learn to gather and prepare state allocation and apportionment schedules.
What you need to succeed:
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree with a major in Finance or Accounting (pursing Master in Taxation / Accounting Information Systems degree a plus).
Strong organizational, analytical, communication and interpersonal skills
Intermediate/Advanced Knowledge of Excel
Programming experience with one or more languages a plus.
Ability to learn quickly with support from the tax team
Ability to work in the United States with no restrictions
