As a Tax Intern, you will be reporting to the Sr. Director of Tax, Global Provision and Domestic Tax, and will be responsible for supporting various members of the Tax Department in conjunction with tax compliance and tax reporting for financial statements. You will get broad exposure to the various tax areas, including domestic and international income tax, sales tax, international VAT, withholding tax, etc.
Essential Job Functions:
Prepare and/or assist with various tax calculations to support the preparation of the quarterly ASC 740 tax provision
Prepare or gather data required to prepare federal and state income tax returns
Assist with calculation and preparation of estimated Federal and state income tax payments
Prepare and/or assist with various tax calculations
Assist in tax reconciliations as part of financial statement month-end and quarter-end close process
Other Ad hoc tax related projects
Undergraduate (preferably 3rd year) working towards a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, or Economics, with an emphasis in Accounting or Finance
Organized and detail-oriented - Ability to meet tight deadlines
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong technical, analytical and organizational skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint;
The internship will be starting in June 2019 and will be located Marvell Semiconductor, Inc. in Santa Clara, CA
