Our client is a mid sized "culture-first" organization that is seeking a hands on Tax Director reporting to the CFO.This individual will be responsible for all aspects of corporate tax planning and compliance worldwide. Our client is a fast paced industry leader with global offices and does offer relocation assistance.Position Overview Primary ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement the global tax strategy.Oversees and ensures the accurate and efficient research, analysis, processing, reporting and auditing of tax obligations and information.Strategic role in corporate mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, restructuring and other changes in business operation.The compliance of tax filing, reporting, processes and controls according to US and applicable statutory tax regulations.Identify and drive projects that improve tax compliance and decrease direct and indirect taxes.The development and implementation of SOX compliant tax processes and controls as preparation of a potential public offering.The monthly, quarterly, and annual tax processes and timely completion.The planning and timely completion of tax audits and the relationship with audit partner, tax consultants, tax department, as well as external tax authorities.Global tax policies and procedures including accounting policies and transfer pricing.Support internal reporting to the boardSupport the annual budgeting process including the tax audit / filing budget, the monthly & quarterly variance analysis and the identification and tracking of corrective actions as well as improvement opportunities.Continuous improvement of the tax related closing process and controls environment.Works closely with the CFO and CEO on strategic financial decisions and on special projects.Minimum Qualifications Bachelor Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field10+ years of experience in tax with responsibilities in multiple tax territories ideally across Americas and Europe.Ability to work under tight deadlines in team environmentProven capability of supporting mergers & acquisitions and integration effortsStrong analytical and problem solving skillsExcellent team and communication skillsHigh degree of attention to detailStrong cross-functional abilities with multi-faceted analysis and ad-hoc analysis skillsExceptional written and verbal communication skills Preferred Qualifications10+ years of experience in International Finance including global tax & treasury responsibilities in international companies operating in multiple tax jurisdictions ideally across Americas and EuropeMasters Degree in Finance, Accounting or related fieldCPA and prior experience as consultant at one of the Big 4 accounting firms

VIEW JOBS 9/27/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-12-26T00:00 Reporting to the Controller, the Tax Director will provide oversight of all tax planning and structuring activities for the Company. In this critical role, the incumbent will implement and initiate tax planning, tax compliance, keeps apprised of legislative proposals and tax code as well as fulfills reporting obligations. This position is involved with preparing forecasts and will be expected to drive value within the tax function. Key Responsibilities * Prepares management reports and participates in presenting results to senior management regarding the tax related items. * Works with the internal and external audit as necessary. * Federal and state tax planning. * Evaluates uncertain tax positions and prepares appropriate documentation to support company's conclusions. * Identify tax issues and devise global tax strategies to minimize risk. * Manage the preparation of the US tax provision, compliance, forecasting, accounting and reporting. * Coordinates with outside service providers. * Supports Finance personnel to minimize redundancy of efforts. * Advises executive leadership of the tax impact of CMG strategies. * Ensure that the company's tax accounting processes, documentation and related systems are in compliance with internal control requirements. * Manage income tax audits and inquiries by governmental authorities. * Other duties as assigned Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field. * Masters in taxation preferred * 10 years of experience. * CPA preferred. * Proven understanding of Federal and State tax issues. * Proven experience with understanding and communicating tax issues related to mergers & acquisitions. * Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. * Proven ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize work, and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders. * Independent and self-driven with the ability to find solutions and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
