Job Description:
In a continuously evolving landscape of tax transparency and aggressive challenges by various governmental authorities, this role exists to defend reported tax positions. It supports proactive preparedness against such challenges while responding to questions received on a real-time basis and complying with documentation requirements for intercompany transactions.
Responsibilities include:
Context and Scope:
The Mars Tax Controversy Function provides strategy, oversight, and assessment approval for tax challenges, globally. The Function is also responsible for the development of policy, approval, and compliance related to intercompany transactions. It is uniquely qualified to analyze, assess and report on tax risks around the world. This role works with Tax Controversy Managers, Senior Managers, and Director to collaborate with teams, globally, in support of the Tax Controversy Team's objectives. As it relates to US Domestic Tax Controversy and Transfer Pricing Compliance the role is involved in day to day operational activities.
Job Specifications/Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in accounting, finance or similar
Post-Graduate/Master Degree in Taxation, encouraged
CPA or equivalent, encouraged
