Tax Compliance Specialist Intern

As a tax compliance specialist intern, you'll join our team of talented tax professionals to help clients analyze the tax effect of complex decisions, reduce overall tax rates, and pursue performance objectives. Work you'll do

As a tax compliance specialist intern in our Multistate Investment Management practice, you will work with experienced tax professionals to learn how to serve clients and build relationships as a trusted tax specialist. You will collaborate daily as part of high-performing teams, work deeply in our tax compliance process, use cutting edge technology tools to meet our clients compliance needs accurately and efficiently, and consult with other team members.

Daily tasks may include preparing tax returns across a broad range of clients and jurisdictions, researching tax regulations, responding to notices, understanding the applicable tax implications for specific clients and making recommendations based on your findings. You will commonly work with multiple clients at the same time, providing you exposure to a variety of organizations and a stronger understanding of applicable tax implications for different clients.

Qualifications

Required

  • Currently pursuing a degree Bachelor of Science/Business Administration, Master of Science in Accounting or Taxation

  • Strong academic track record (minimum GPA of 3.2)

  • Ability to prioritize tasks, work on multiple assignments, and manage assignments in a team environment

  • Relevant work experience (e.g. internships, summer positions, school jobs)

  • CPA exam eligibility preferred

  • Up to 50% travel may be required

Preferred

  • Technology-related coursework highly desirable

In our Enterprise segment, we are adding Product Solution Sales Specialist positions to accelerate our success. The Product Solution Sales Specialist team will drive software and solution revenue growth with our customers by working with field sales teams to identify, develop, and close complex enterprise solutions. You will be responsible for leading the sales motion change from rate plans to software and solutions via enterprise agreements. This is a leadership, quota-carrying, individual contributor role on a team of accomplished and driven professionals. Responsibilities What You Will Be Doing: You will be working for our Emerging Products Business, specifically focused on UCaaS (Unified Communications as a Service) and will be selling into our largest customers. You will have a passion for disruptive technologies and will be able to articulate T-Mobile for Business vision for leveraging mobile network and the 5G mobile network to change the way our customers deliver services to their employees. The expectation for travel will be at least three a month. You will be quick to identify opportunities, able to manage people and prioritize opportunities, highly capable as a trusted consultant and mentor to salespeople and committed to improving the competency of the team. You will be responsible for developing a business plan to meet and exceed assigned quota, plan sales strategies, develop proposals, deliver customer presentations, and close the business. This role will be our 'tip of the spear' responsible for driving sales of UCaaS, which we see as a strategic and a multiplier for our overall growth. As you will play the essential role of setting T-Mobile for Business sales strategy for UCaaS and driving deals to closure this role requires not only a diverse background in selling enterprise software to Line of Business and IT buyers but technical sales experience selling communications technologies such as PBX (cloud or premise), auto attendants, IVR, SIP trunking, workstream collaboration, enterprise messaging, UCC, UCaaS, and mobility is essential. Experience selling enterprise networking including SD-WAN and knowledge of 5G mobile networks is beneficial. The major activities that the role include: * Present T-Mobile for Business's product portfolio to customers * Personally drive sales opportunities and collaborate with internal and external teams to lead success * Responsible for the UCaaS strategy working in lock step with the Emerging Products Business team, sales regions and account teams to drive sales in this fast-paced, high growth technology area * Represent T-Mobile for Business at internal and external events * Build relationships with customers, customer executives and corporate service organizations to position T-Mobile products and solutions and manage successful end to end sales cycles * Weekly tracking of progress from discovery to customer realization of value of UCaaS Provide strategic and competitive insight into the overall UCaaS market * Coach/Mentor to field sales teams * Provides sales forecasting and visibility into sales activity by keeping a current pipeline using T-Mobile for Business forecasting tools * Also responsible for other Duties/Projects as assigned by business management as needed.
