Progressive Leasing has an urgent need in our Accounting & Tax Department for a Tax Associate in Draper, UT! We are continuously growing and looking to expand our team to help prepare, review, and file sales taxes, property taxes, and other types of taxes.
What You'll Do:
Assist in preparing and filing sales and use tax returns in almost all U.S. states, counties and local jurisdictions
Monitor tax filings and reconcile tax payments
Prepare, file and secure payments for annual tax and business licenses
Business and occupational tax returns and filings
File and organize tax returns and records for all taxes
Provide resale certificates to vendors
Maintain exemption certificates provided by customers
Deadline driven responsibilities in a fast paced company
Assist in customer's questions regarding sales tax
Attend to tax notices received by jurisdictions
Assist on special tax projects as needed
Other related duties as assigned
Minimum Skills & Qualifications:
Strong oral and written communication skills
Understanding of accounting debits and credits
Excellent accuracy with numbers and written communication
Proficient in all MS Office products, especially Excel
Bachelor degree in accounting or equivalent work experience required
