Position Overview

As a Tax Analyst, you will assist in the execution, calculation and analysis of sales & use tax, income tax, unclaimed property tax and other transactional taxes for C&S and affiliated companies. This includes the compilation and submission of filings and liaison with tax authorities, outside agencies and internal C&S groups. The ideal candidate will have corporate and/or transactional tax experience and will work well in a fast paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in tax compliance and tax planning for C&S and affiliated companies, developing tax strategies and policies to enable compliance with applicable legislation and mitigate tax exposure.

  • Partner with external and internal stakeholders to ensure optimal execution, risk mitigation and to establish controls.

  • Prepare filings and payments based on relevant information provided by various internal departments for reasonableness and completeness.

  • Prepare monthly/quarterly/annual filings and payments by entity and state to comply with relevant legislation.

  • Work with internal departments to ensure relevant and accurate data for tax returns is provided from company systems and warehouse locations on a timely basis.

  • Work with Senior Tax Analyst and Supervisor to ensure required various licenses are in place, either by obtaining new licenses or renewing prior licenses.

  • Assist with coordination and management of documentation/information as required for tax audits.

  • Document procedures

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or a related field required

  • Zero three years of applicable experience

  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office tools; mid - advanced Excel skills preferred familiarity with financial systems and tax software preferred
