Finance professionals prepare and interpret financial plans and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable financial rules and regulations, including internal financial controls, to mitigate risk for the company. Finance professionals may also shape and execute client deals to maximize the use of Accenture's capital and resources, manage cash and/or liaise with the investor community.

Job Description:

The Tax Accounting Manager reports to the Associate Director, Tax Accounting and Reporting. The Tax Accounting Manager will partner with the Associate Director, Tax Accounting and Reporting in forecasting the global effective income tax rate and cash tax payments, the preparation of quarterly and annual SEC income tax disclosures and communicating with Finance leadership. This role will also work closely with the internal controls team to support proper S-OX internal controls documentation for corporate income taxes and ensure compliance with all S-OX internal controls for Tax Accounting.

Brief Description of Duties:

  • Prepare global effective tax rate for quarterly and annual tax provision computations.

  • Manage the collection, review and submission of all external financial auditor tax information requests, for both quarterly and interim purposes.

  • Prepare quarterly SEC income tax disclosures and coordinate deliverables with the regulatory team.

  • Prepare and manage the internal quarterly tax accounting information request and deliverable calendars.

  • Partner with internal controls and external financial auditors to track and ensure adequate documentation for internal and external S-OX purposes.

  • Monitor emerging issues in auditing of income tax controls.

  • Conduct training sessions on S-OX compliance requirements and technical tax accounting topics for Tax and Controllership personnel, as needed.

  • Monitor emerging issues in U.S. GAAP accounting standards and SEC reporting, as well as proposed changes in tax laws, and quantify the financial statement impact.

  • Research complex technical tax accounting issues to determine proper treatment in accordance with U.S. GAAP.

  • Serve as a technical resource for the tax accounting team and assist with the preparation of memoranda documenting analysis and conclusions.

  • Assist with financial modeling and forecasting of various ad hoc scenarios.

  • Perform all other related duties and special projects as assigned.

The opportunity ACR assists in the design, implementation and operation of global record-to-report processes. Within this managed services business, we provide two primary services: 1) Bookkeeping - EY serves as the client's outsourced Finance function, executing end to end Finance processing, globally, across the Record to Report Process and integrated with other upstream and downstream process, such as Statutory Reporting, Tax and Treasury 2) Statutory Accounting and Reporting - as a client's outsourced service provider, we execute the accounting and reporting required to be compliant in the client's legal entity footprint.
