Tax Accountant/Operations Manager

Insero Talent Solutions is recruiting a Tax Accountant/Operations Manager for a fast-growing, boutique wealth management firm in Rochester, NY.

Ensure compliance with company policies, ethics standards, and FINRA rules and regulations, monitoring employee emails, performing data security tests, marketing and advertising review and approval, reviewing financial advisor recommendations and documentation.

Collect fiscal year-end records and reports and prepared Annual Amendment filing with FINRA.

Submit record changes via FINRA Gateway/IARD system to include U4 updates and U5 filings.

Prepare revenue reports, analyze data, and assist CEO in business planning, client service model structure design, budgeting, and forecasting.

Manage payroll, setup new employees with selected tax withholdings, benefit pre-tax deductions, and direct deposit.

Prepare, file Federal & State payroll tax returns. Perform annual 1099 & W2 reporting and filing. Manage Health Insurance, Health Savings Account (HSA), and 401K plans, completing all plan year end and renewal reporting requirements.

Execute employee/employer 401K account contributions, and HSA contributions.

Perform bookkeeping and accounting and four outside small businesses, to track income and all expenditures.

Accounts' Payable transactions paying all invoices, generating checks, month end journal entries, organizing and maintaining accounts payable files.

Comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements studying requirements; enforcing adherence; filing necessary reports and advising ownership on needed actions.

Develop and manage operations, systems, and processes. Services to include, communicating with clients throughout tax preparation process, collecting relevant financial records, inputting data from financial records into tax return software, assist in uncovering potential deductions and credits ensuring clients didn't pay extra taxes.

Filing tax documents with appropriate agencies: IRS, state and local government entities.

Assisted in researching complex tax issues and questions to provide accurate information to the client.
