Tax Accountant

The responsibilities of the Tax Accountant role will include the ability to review and manage multi-state monthly and quarterly sales tax returns, prepare use tax monthly computations and review drinks tax returns computations.

Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare and manage multi-state monthly and quarterly sales and use tax returns

• Provide support to the outside preparer of Company's multi-state personal property tax returns

• Prepare annual business licenses and monitor annual reports for multiple jurisdictions

• Prepare occupational tax returns

• Assist in preparation of annual budget for property tax and sales tax

• Review customer exemption certificates and communicate with customers when corrections are warranted

• Utilize Avalara Sales Tax Software, including Avalara CertCapture

• Maintain Vertex/Avalara Tax Decision Maker

• Respond to audit inquiries for sales and use tax as well as property tax audits

• Combine tax and technology knowledge to identify areas of improvement in the tax department to achieve greater efficiencies

• Perform other duties as assigned

Hybrid schedule (remote 1 day per week) is available after onboarding/training period.
