This role will be a member of the Tax Accounting and Reporting team and will be assisting with the preparation, maintenance and reporting of the global tax accrual for the company's management group. This role will include the preparation of the U.S. tax accrual calculation, as well as working with the U.S. financial reporting team to ensure the appropriate tax adjustments are recorded, working with the foreign accountants and controllers to ensure the international tax accrual entries are recorded at the entity level. In addition, this role will also involve coordinating and assisting with the preparation of various reports which serve as a means of submission of tax information to the Hexagon parent company for management reporting purposes. This position will report directly to the Tax Director. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Maintain required level of technical knowledge
Research, prepare and maintain work papers for various book-tax differences
Perform various account reconciliations for both book general ledger account balances and tax ledger balances
Assist with the research and preparation of documentation for tax accrual computations, uncertain tax positions, year-end financial audit inquiries, and departmental policies and procedures
Assist with the preparation of off-cycle, quarterly and year-end tax accrual calculations
Assist with maintenance of tax basis fixed asset calculations and rollforwards
Assist with various aspects of US tax compliance requirements as it relates to foreign operations
Perform state-by-state quarterly estimated tax liability calculations
Maintain tax accrual software and systems linkages
Keep abreast of current developments in the tax area
Assist with various aspects of the international tax reporting processes
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance; Master's in Accounting preferred
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Internet Explorer software
Knowledge of OneSource Tax Provision or similar tax software preferred
Knowledge of SAGE Fixed Asset System or similar tax software preferred
Experience with multi-national corporation preferred
Ability to multi-task and handle several priorities simultaneously
Articulate responsibilities with excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to self-audit work product for reasonableness before submission to ensure accuracy
Self-starter, able to execute well to completion with minimal direction
Ability to think creatively, highly-driven and self-motivated
