Job Summary:

The Accountant will ensure the integrity and reporting accuracy of the organization's financial results. The Accountant will prepare financial reports and present findings and recommendations to management. The Accountant will conduct analysis and risk assessments to estimate financial outcomes. You may be assigned other duties to help proactively drive our FieldCore vision and align with our organization's core values.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Prepare general ledger account reconciliations in accordance with GE standards

  • Perform monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad hoc financial reporting and analysis of the balance sheet

  • Post journal entries to the general ledger

  • Perform cost analysis and calculate accruals as needed

  • Investigate, document, and analyze workflow to generate process improvements

  • Provide support to regional finance teams relative to global accounting processes and procedures

  • Conduct financial analysis and prepare reports as needed, including regional financial and variance analysis, variances against the operating plan and estimates, and project financials

  • Conduct statutory reconciliation and reporting requirements to ensure compliance with local laws

  • Prepare Weekly and Quarterly Payroll Tax Files for submission to Payroll Service Provider

  • Prepare Annual W-2 and Annual Tax Statements

  • Prepare responses to Tax Authorities relating to Payroll Tax inquiries

  • Ensure Shadow Payroll process operates timely and accurately by working with external Vendors

  • Assist in the process for applying for Foreign Tax ID's for the company employees

  • Assist in the recovery of personal income foreign tax credit process

  • Assist in the Certificate of Coverage/A1 process

  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • Travel may be required

  • English proficiency required

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting required

  • CPA preferred

  • 5+ years applicable experience and demonstrated success/knowledge

  • Experience with Oracle preferred

Desired Characteristics:

  • Strong knowledge of accounting concepts, practices, procedures and administrative skills and familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Oracle Financials

  • Intermediate Microsoft Access and Noetix skills are preferred

  • Excellent communication and management skills

  • Possess a high level of organizational ability

  • Effective troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to rely on experience and judgment to plan, accomplish daily, weekly, and monthly tasks and work independently as well as with a team

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Participate in the timely and accurate preparation of all federal and state income tax returns and other specified tax returns. Errors may impact company profits through penalties and interest charges, or through audit adjustments by taxing authorities. * Improve processes by identifying efficiencies in preparation and information gathering procedures. * Performs tax research for return items and special projects. * Ensure that work product is timely and meets the needs of the end user. * Seek ways to identify tax savings opportunities and work with others, where applicable, to implement those strategies approved by Jabil management. * Training other employees both within and outside the department. * Must be analytical and knowledgeable in accounting procedures and practices and be capable of working independently with general supervision from the Supervising Tax Senior. * Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by supervisor. * Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy. * May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. * Review the timely and accurate preparation of income tax provision calculations under ASC 740. * Participate in administration of procedures and internal controls within the tax function in accordance with Sarbanes-Oxley §404 compliance. * Keep up to date on changes in tax law, administrative and judicial decisions, and other relevant items through current technical reading JOB QUALIFICATIONS KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS * Advanced PC skills, including training and knowledge of Jabil's software packages. * Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. * Strong analytical expertise, attention to detail and organization, excellent written and oral communication skills. * Ability to handle multiply tasks simultaneously in a fast paced work environment. * Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. * Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs * Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
