Key Responsibilities

• Organize and update the company's tax calendar
• Prepare monthly and quarterly state sales tax returns
• Prepare property and other tax returns
• Assist in filling annual Federal and State Income tax returns for US
• Assist in filling annual Federal and Provincial Income tax returns for Canada
• Prepare tax payments
• Perform Month-end tax close duties
• Monitor and resolve various tax notices
• Enforce tax compliance to reduce future tax exposure
• Identify tax savings and recommend tax strategies that maximize that goal
• Keep on top of tax trends and changes related to taxes
• Liaise with internal and external auditors
• Any other tasks as assigned by management

Qualifications

• BSc degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant subject; industry certification (e.g. CMA or CPA) is preferred
• 3+ years as a Tax Accountant, Tax Analyst or Tax Preparer
• Goal oriented
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Must be able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines while maintaining high quality and a focus on detail
• Computer literacy (MS Excel in particular)
• Strong numeracy skills
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.

The wage range for this position takes into consideration a variety of factors in determining your pay. We'll consider your location, experience, certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The wage disclosure has not been adjusted for applicable geographic differentials associated with the location at which this position may be filled. A reasonable estimate of the current base wage range for this role is $50,000-$80,000. In addition to the base compensation, certain roles are eligible for additional compensation, including an annual bonus or sales incentive based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee's role. These awards are allocated based on individual performance.
