Responsible for preparing and reviewing multi-state sales, use, and miscellaneous tax returns. Ensure timely payment of all taxes.

Resolve issues that arise as a result of operations and various taxing jurisdictions. Prepare, calculate, project, and perform other related assignments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Ensures compliance with state and local sales and use tax laws and regulations.

Prepares and reviews multi-state sales and use tax returns monthly.

Prepares business licenses.

Conduct multi-state tax research.

Assist on state and federal tax audits, inquiries and related data gathering.

Implement all tax policies and procedures.

Conduct compliance audits of corporate tax policies.

Keep current on all tax procedures and developments.

Assist during internal audit procedures.

Other projects and duties as assigned.

Respond to notices from tax authorities on sales, use and property tax matters

Prepare all property tax returns and other miscellaneous returns

Reviews and responds to government notices.

Reviews and verifies Resale and Exemption Certificates for multiple states

Reconciles general ledger accounts.

Provides tax support, researching questions and resolving tax issues.

Demonstrates skill in data analysis techniques by resolving missing/incomplete information, inconsistencies/anomalies in more complex research/data.

Nature of work requires increasing independence; receives guidance only on unusual complex problems or issues. Work review typically involves periodic review of output by supervisor and/or direct 'customers' of the process.

May provide general guidance/direction to or train junior level support personnel or professional personnel.

Job Requirements


Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required.

Master's Degree in Taxation a plus.

Minimum 1-2 years of experience in multi-state sales tax and personal property tax.

Self-motivated and capable of working independently.

Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.

Ability to meet strict deadlines

Analytical problem solver.

Proficient in Microsoft Office, strong Excel skills.


Ability to streamline functions and passion to learn and grow

Strong interpersonal skills, including written and oral communication skills

Comfort dealing with ambiguity and the ability to work independently

Experience working with and presenting to senior executives

Excellent communication and presentation skills; be comfortable interacting with executive-level management

Strong financial modeling experience
