In this multi-purpose leadership role; you will own both engagement and optimization for a defined geography. The WorkForceStaffing (WFS) Manager (L6 Multi-Purpose) will focus in three key areas: 1) Owning the strategic development and delivery of community engagement plans,2) Forecasting and analyzing labor demand plans for multiple sites across the node and 3) execution of candidate engagement activities. Successful candidates will be a strategic and analytical thinker who can see around corners and demonstrate a passion for process improvement, candidate experience and onboarding process improvement. You will manage an organization of Team Leads and Coordinators who thrive in an innovative, fast-paced environment. Our node teams support over 15,000 hires annually. The WFS Manager (Blended) key responsibilities:

  • Creates a vision, based upon data, for a team/business and develops scalable strategies that capture the best talent and most diverse candidates at the lowest cost

  • Evolves and implements labor acquisition strategies inclusive of employee class recommendations, labor pool utilization, talent pool conversion and other channel resources across different Amazon businesses

  • Manages the analyses of daily, weekly, and monthly reporting of Workforce Staffing performance via Key Performance Indicators

  • Forecast labor demand plans and create scalable staffing strategies to build infrastructure and ensure team resource capabilities meet business demand

  • Evolves and implements strategies based off consistently changing needs of the business by tracking hiring event schedules and forecasted attendance rates

  • Leads and drives projects, of increasing scale and complexity, and manages programs through completion.

  • Sets KPI's benchmarks, metrics, and understands how to prioritize to meet and exceed all business SLAs

  • Owns training, development, team culture and morale for Workforce Staffing Team

Expected Deliverables

  • Manage and own cost per hire budgets through oversight of labor acquisition, advertising and other talent acquisition costs within the node

  • Manage and build strategies to optimize candidate cycle time, conversion rates and applicant funnel metrics to benchmark

  • Build and foster community engagement and sourcing strategies and demonstrate through data return on investment

  • Have development discussions and provide detailed feedback to direct reports on performance and growth plans

  • Exceed associate experience service levels and KPI's measured by hiring activity results and defect reduction

  • Partner with site Finance Managers and Operations Leaders to forecast and plan labor demand

Key Areas of Responsibility: * Supervises the Course Materials area including scheduling associate hours, assigning and evaluating work as well as interviewing, hiring and training new employees, including full-time, part time and seasonal temporary associates. * Manages affective supervision to drive course materials sales while maintaining exceptional customer service and course materials department standards. * Assists customers and provides guidance to department associates around course materials buying decisions (new, used, rental and digital). * Coordinates sales promotion activities, develops and executes advertising strategies and prepares course materials and other related products for display. * In partnership with store manager, presents, interacts and influences faculty, department chair(s), Dean and/or administration on course materials issues ensuring resolution of any issues. * Development of strategy and goal for the Department and/or Store. * Call publishers to verify price, availability, or order status. * Works with the Store Manager to analyze buyback trends, enrollment figures, adoption forms to determine order quantities and actively manage disposition of text and inventory management. * Maintains course information, used book information, enrollment figure and inventory figures in the Store's database to ensure decisions are accurate. * Prefer 3-5 years previous textbook experience, including 1 - 3 years retail supervisory experience. * Bachelor's Degree preferred, minimum an Associate's Degree. * Strong organizational, time management, problem-solving skills customer service, communication and presentation skills are essential. * Proven experience with POS and inventory systems required. * Must demonstrate strong analytical skills and financial acumen. * Academic retail experience a plus, but not required.
