Basic Job Functions:
The role of the Talent & Recruiting Specialist will be responsible for the process of sourcing, attracting, interviewing, and on-boarding teammates for Nucor Steel Decatur. This position will collaborate with the division's departments to identify and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria for positions needed. Screens applications and selects qualified candidates. Assists with the interview process, attending and conducting interviews with hiring panels. Collaborates with the hiring team(s) during the offer process, identifying and recommending salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other pertinent details. Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies. Plans and participates in external recruiting events and interview days. Leads and collaborates within the division and corporate teams for support in the co-op and internship programs. Collaborates with the HR team to support with teammate support, special projects, engagement activities and assignments as needed. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:
2 years' recruitment experience (managing all phases of the recruitment and hiring processes - candidate sourcing, resume review, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or related field.
Experience with SuccessFactors or other Applicant Tracking System
3 years+ in recruitment for technical roles
PHR/SHRM-CP certification

Must have supervisor and/or manager recommendation and must be able to perform all essential functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
