Location: Alpharetta, GA (Avanos HQs based role) Hybrid Role (3 days a week in office)

Nature and Scope:

The role of the Talent Management & Development Partner is to support the Head of Talent and execute against the talent management and development strategy. This person will oversee implementation of core initiatives, including Annual Performance Reviews, Succession Planning, Leadership Training and Development, and Change Management activity. In this role, you will provide tools, resources, and strategic consultation to the HR Business Partner team and to the business. This role has responsibility for developing, implementing and supporting talent management initiatives in partnership with the head of talent through both strategic guidance and influence as well as delivering through operational excellence.

The ideal candidate will be data-driven and will have a proven record of driving initiatives in a dynamic, ever-changing environment. In addition, the candidate must understand talent development philosophies and strategies and must use analytics to make recommendations to drive our business. The candidate will be highly organized, skilled in project and program management and able to effectively influence and drive change. They will be passionate about the talent management and development space and driven to get thing done.

Responsibilities:

  • Aligns with key stakeholders to define current and future skill needs from the competency model and develops tailored talent management strategies.

  • Partners with leadership to drive talent assessment and succession planning in their departments.

  • Engages with human resources teams to execute talent management projects, including learning and development and employee engagement.

  • Leads comprehensive annual Performance Management Process, ensuring effective communication, training, and support for employees and management.

  • Directs calibration process with human resources business partners, prepares meetings with leadership, and manages follow-up actions.

  • Optimizes the Performance Management Process and tools to foster employee growth and development.

  • Drives learning management initiatives and updates, ensuring clear communication, providing business support and participates in regular reviews and improvements for the system

  • Will be a key stakeholder in the improvement and implementation of a new skills based competency model and system update project

  • Will work closely with the head of talent on Succession Planning Initiatives

  • Will development multiple templates and tools for the business to utilize including development plans, conversation guides, succession maps and more

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in talent management and/or development

  • Highly effective communication and influencing skills

  • Project and program management

  • Understanding of data analytics and use in a performance management environment

  • Knowledge of talent performance and development philosophies, strategies and programs

  • At least one year of experience working with outside vendors

  • Have overseen a complete annual performance review lifecycle

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Success Factors Experience

  • Executive Succession Planning and Performance Review

  • Technical Industry Experience (e.g. Medical Device, Pharmaceutical, Biotech, FDA regulated environment or manufacturing)
