Working alongside Talent & Development COE leaders, this role will support the design and delivery (to the company) of global processes, programs, tools and resources. Will also help evaluate talent and development programs designed to improve retention and engagement, professional development, performance, culture, build capability through talent and development priorities and core processes/programs.

Reporting to the Project Manager in the Talent & Devleopment COE, the Talent & Development Specialist supports projects and processes for the Talent & Development team across all major areas: Talent Management (including Gender Balance), Learning & Leadership development (assessments coordination, research projects, vendor management, intranet content), Inclusion & Diversity (support communications and planning of global diversity calendar, leverageable support to I&D Councils; social media liaison for I&D; intranet content & global I&D surveys); Manager Capabilities (including performance management, feedback, survey work, intranet content, communications); and HR Capabilities (building HR skill set across key strategic activities / to support the success of the HROM), all as described in the HR service catalogue. Approximately 50% of Talent & Development Specialists work load will be in one of these areas, with core projects/responsibilities clearly defined; the balance of responsibilities will be assigned by the Project Manager based on requisite skills and experience, learning needs of team members and bandwidth considerations.

Please note that this role is open to HR Colleagues L63-L58 in any North America or Great Britain location.

Experience
5 - 7 years broad-based experience with a range of HR administration, support and talent & development subject matter.

The intent is for this leader to pursue joint business opportunities for SAS and RTI across state, federal and commercial accounts. This leader will serve as a critical liaison between SAS and RTI's executive leadership team as well as cross-functional domain teams to develop competitive technical solutions with compelling commercial terms. The role will be based at RTI's headquarters in Durham, N.C. with travel to SAS' Cary and Arlington campuses as required. Responsibilities include: * Identifies opportunities for partnership and prioritizes engagement, building customer networks, especially with C-levels and senior executives at RTI. * Forges and maintains strong alignment of activity, level of effort and prioritization of potential initiatives to focus the partnership on areas of highest propensity for revenue yield. Areas of emphasis include opportunities where RTI's existing contracts, initiatives and paid engagements with clients have potential to be enhanced by bringing SAS technology, personnel or subject matter expertise to bear. * Prioritizes areas of focus for the partnership in deference to SAS' short and long-term revenue goals, while creating the framework for sustainable, mutually beneficial business relationships and/or lines of business that are attractive to SAS and RTI * Develops and manages strong and effective working relationships with key decision makers, influencers, and partners within various departments at RTI. * Gains preference for SAS as the technical foundation supporting RTI's RFP responses across federal, state and commercial accounts and grant opportunities. * Tracks long-term programs (18 mo. +) and establishes awareness and preference for SAS solutions for RTI to position within their RFP responses. * Serves as critical liaison for SAS when RTI domain expertise is needed for SAS competitive proposals – connects opportunity with appropriate RTI individuals to strengthen SAS' competitive position. * Serves as critical liaison for RTI when SAS domain or technical expertise is needed for RTI competitive proposals. * Participates in appropriate RTI functions to promote SAS and identify new opportunities. * Identifies and develops new opportunities and builds a business plan to set the strategy for pursuing business in the various markets RTI serves with SAS solutions. * Develops strategic direction from market information and creates compelling proposals that effectively differentiate SAS from our competitors in close collaboration with RTI team. * Proven ability to generate and close sales opportunities with a history of meeting or beating sales target expectations. * Demonstrated ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams as player and coach to deliver shared objectives. * Proactively communicates domain knowledge to RTI sales colleagues and other non-technical sales functions that empower the field to identify opportunities and successfully position SAS offerings. * Makes recommendations back to SAS leadership on potential augmentations to business processes, resource plans or go-to-market strategies to properly pursue and service areas with potential for high growth/scale and/or of high value to RTI. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities * Knowledge of sales and product marketing techniques, business partner relationship development strategies, or technical functions within the technology industry. * Excellent knowledge of the Federal and State Government market and applicability of SAS products to this sector. * Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. * Public speaking experience. * Ability to travel. * Ability to work effectively in teams. * Bachelor's degree preferably in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, MIS or other relevant discipline.
