Our Talent (HR) Team is looking to add a Talent Development Manager to our rapidly growing team. We are looking for someone who is passionate about the interests and strengths of our people; who has created and implemented engaging and empowering Talent Development and Management programs; who understands the unique challenge and tremendous opportunities associated with a rapidly-growing, fast-paced environment; has the ability to deal with ambiguity, but equally, enjoys the freedom to explore and innovate. Reporting directly to the CEO, the Talent Development Manager has an innovative, can do and entrepreneurial mindset.

What Youll Do:

Key focus areas will include:

  • Roles & Success Frameworks: develop and enhance the organizational structure, role definition, success frameworks, performance metrics and alignment of compensation and incentives for all role throughout the Company
  • Career Development: develop and design programs and initiatives that are tailored to individuals knowledge, abilities, strengths and interests to enhance the experience and performance of our team and support their desired career interests
  • Performance Management: develop elements and dashboards to enhance employee engagement; help establish dashboards and metrics for success in all roles; assist with goal setting and tracking; ensure team members are provided ongoing, timely feedback that is beneficial to their continued development
  • Culture: take ownership and drive Deposcos winning culture by soliciting feedback, analyzing that feedback and data and implementing programs that will enhance the working environment and continue to engage and motivate teams and individuals
  • Software & Tools: assess the current software tools, identify additional opportunities to enhance the organizations growth through the use of software and implement new tools
  • Training: Responsibility for the delivery of a learning & development framework and associated programs to support capability development across all levels
  • And More: Own the Talent function and cultivate new ideas/projects as they are needed in rapidly scaling environment

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree
  • 5-7 years experience creating and delivering people-oriented programs including:
    • 3+ years reporting to Senior Leadership
  • Ability to create alignment across the organization and bring people together
  • Past success in positively influencing and respectfully challenging, when needed
  • Trusted advisor; able to establish and maintain credibility throughout the company as an effective listener and problem solver of people issues
  • Authentic, transparent, effective, fair and compassionate communication style
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; exceptional at active listening and building trust
  • E-learning design or development experience is preferred

This individual is responsible for creating and managing programs that build the capabilities of Colonial Pipeline's workforce to enable it to meet the current and future demands of the business. Leads the design, development, implementation and measurement of programs and processes to onboard new employees, strengthen individual skills and competencies, develop management and leadership talent, and create a pipeline of successors for critical organizational roles. The Program Manager, Talent Development networks with external companies, including peer companies, and vendors to stay abreast of best practice and emerging learning & development research, methodologies, technologies, and solutions. Essential Functions and Responsibilities The responsibilities included represent typical responsibilities for this job and is not a comprehensive listing of all functions and tasks performed. Onboarding * Builds and facilitates an engaging onboarding process for new employees and newly promoted managers, using a mix of content delivery methods—including technology—to help accelerate time to full productivity, enhance the employee experience, and mitigate the company's risks * Collaborates with internal subject matter experts to help translate their knowledge and content into an effective and engaging learning experience * Manages the onsite orientation process, which includes communicating with attendees, delivering content, coordinating speakers, handling logistics, and overseeing each event * Trains or coaches speakers on how to effectively deliver content to ensure learning * Oversees the post-orientation process to ensure that ongoing onboarding activities are completed on time and in a manner consistent with the program's guidelines * Evaluates the business impact of the onboarding process and makes modifications as required to deliver anticipated outcomes Management and Leadership Development * Provides tools and resources to assist HR Business Partners in assessing individual manager and leader competency, identifying gaps in skills and knowledge, and crafts learning experiences to strengthen capabilities * Partners with Director, Talent Management and external vendors, to design full suite of development solutions for executive (succession) and high potential leaders, as well as new and emerging managers, leveraging best practice approaches to assessment, development planning, learning, executive coaching, mentoring, special assignments and training * Facilitates classroom and virtual training, manager assimilations and follow-up program activities * Manages and executes day-to-day tasks associated with development programs, including participant selection criteria, enrollment, program communications, vendor relationship management and program/event planning * Evaluates the business impact of development programs and modifies programs as required to deliver anticipated outcomes * Works with HR Business Partners, upon request, to address team/functional performance issues and develop and facilitate learning interventions to address performance in assigned client groups Talent and Succession Planning * Crafts learning plans and templates in support of the talent review/succession planning framework and associated tools to identify top talent, determine readiness for advancement and skill gaps. Provides support or training to HR Business Partners in leveraging the framework and tools to assess talent and engage in development planning for their assigned client groups * May participate in talent planning/review sessions with HR Business Partners and provides guidance as needed to ensure consistency of framework application and capture and analyze trends for developmental planning needs (e.g., training programs, skill gaps, coaching, etc.) Career and Professional Development * Designs, implements, promotes and evaluates the business impact of career development programs for specific groups of employees * Creates a framework and tools for use by employees in planning their careers at Colonial Pipeline Company * Creates and delivers training to help managers understand their role in supporting the career planning efforts of their employee, utilize understanding of adult learning principles, and instructional design practices * Promotes the company's career planning framework and tools to Colonial's workforce to encourage employees to take control of their careers * Participates in assessment process for leadership potential, skills gap analysis, and/or team dynamics. * Builds, delivers or recommends solutions for professional skills training for trending development needs as part of career development planning Job Requirements Minimum Required * Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resource Development, Organization Development or related field of study or equivalent experience * 5-7 years of progressive experience in talent development; experience in the design, development and delivery of training programs/curricula (e.g., professional and management skills, etc.; needs assessment; experience identifying talent development/skill building solutions to meet business needs; experience * Managing leadership development programs; experience using multiple instructional design options and learning methodologies Preferred * Graduate degree in Learning, Human Resource Development, Organization Development, Organization/Industrial Psychology, Organization Behavior, Organization Leadership or related field of study * 8-10 years of progressive experience in talent development * Experience designing an onboarding programs * Experience with assessments * Experience using virtual classroom technology * Experience developing content in learning authoring tools and learning applications such as Articulate and Storyline Colonial Pipeline is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of Colonial Pipeline Company Alpharetta GA
